"I am sure you would like to know a little about me, and especially about how it relates to my magic, since you may be spending some time and money with me.

I love making people happy.  Helping people have fun has been my passion since I was very young.  I am now living the life I always dreamed of.  Here is me and Rebecca on her first day at school.  Don't we look smart !

I help busy parents and children who love to party but don't have time or the skill to organise things and who want to maximise their fun while at the same time obtaining tremendous value for money.

I was always the class clown and I can read an audience like you read stories or poems.  People react to me. The talent I had as a young boy has now grown into a strong positive skill which I would like to use to help surpass your wildest dreams by bringing you the best party your child has ever had.

My passion is to use this skill to make your child's party their best ever experience and save you time and money.  My purpose in life is to make a tremendous difference to others by using this talent and I will do this with more passion than you have ever experienced from any other children's entertainer".

First and foremost Mr Giggles is an Entertainer

I work with busy parents, schools and nurseries who want children’s entertainment that is different and stress free.   I help create maximum enjoyment and build childhood memories, which will last a lifetime.  I do this by working with parents to provide a unique blend of five shows rolled into one, namely puppets, magic, games competitions and dancing.

Married to Linda for 38 years, (we married very, very young !!) and father of two girls Karen and Donna.  Also “papa” to Rebecca, aged 7 years  Kara aged 2 year and newly born Megan Elise, the best grandchildren in the world.

 Linda’s main task is keeping me in order, taking phone messages and all the 101 tasks that keeps my world ticking over.   Linda is my rock and keeps my feet firmly on the ground.

 I was born and live in a medium sized town in Scotland called Renfrew, near Glasgow that has the status of being a “Royal Burgh” although it has to be said that we did live and work in Edinburgh for a time during 1978/1979.  With a Post Graduate Degree in International Finance (Dip FS) from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh and a Masters Degree in Business Studies (MBA) from Strathclyde Business School and a string of professional qualifications I am certainly a different children's entertainer.   Our local church is Renfrew Baptist Church which we became members in 1983 after returning to live in Renfrew.

 My Eldest daughter Karen teaches drama in Secondary school.   Donna my other daughter is a qualified Insolvency Manager currently on maternity leave.

"Mr Giggles Philosophy"

Being a full time children’s and family entertainer it helps to look at the world through the eyes of a child.   Children live for today.   They do not worry about tomorrow.   Children act spontaneously, laugh freely when happy, cry when hurt, forgive easily and believe the best in people.   Indeed this describes the clown’s view of the world and this is perhaps the reason that my clown character is so real and believable to children and adults alike.

I guess it could be said that I have found the child inside me and he comes out to play during performances.   Certainly each performance is an occasion for children to enter Mr Giggles world of magic and wonderment, to have fun and for parents to know that together we are building happy childhood memories which will last a lifetime well into adulthood.

 I believe that I am one of the luckiest people in the world.   I have a wonderful wife and family, a caring church, good friends and I do work that I believe is important - bringing happiness to others.

 Live is fragile, full of wonderment and always, always far too short – don’t worry over small things because tomorrow will put them in perspective.

Together we can all help make this world a better place.

Clown's Prayer

As I tumble through this life,
help me to create more laughter than tears,
dispense more cheer than gloom,
spread more joy than despair.

Never let me become so indifferent,
that I will fail to see awe in the eyes of a child,
or the wise twinkle in the eyes of the aged

Never let me forget that I have the gift to uplift others,
